Our primary goal was to create a stepping surface that maintains the Cybertruck's ground clearance. Additionally, we aimed to design a product that blends seamlessly with the Cybertruck’s aesthetic, delivering an OEM+ appearance.
We also sought to protect the factory plastic rocker cladding, which is susceptible to scuffs, scratches, and door dings. The final design had to be a straightforward bolt-on solution that works with Tesla mud flaps and requires no permanent modifications to the vehicle. The resulting side steps meet all design criteria, providing both an appealing look and a basic level of protection for the Cybertruck's rockers.
These side steps are constructed from CNC laser-cut, press-brake-formed alloy steel, finished with a durable zinc base coat and an electrostatic black textured powder coat that matches the factory cladding. Installation is easy, requiring only basic tools and no specialized experience.
